How a social ride works, step by step

Travel assistance for a social ride

Move Care social rides follow a clear process, designed to be safe, transparent and dignified for everyone involved. Here's how it works, step by step.

Why only through verified partners

Social rides can't be booked directly by the general public. They're accessible exclusively through our verified partners — NGOs, clinics and institutions. The reason is simple: they know the beneficiaries and can correctly assess who really needs support, preventing abuse and ensuring help reaches those who need it.

The steps of a social ride

1
The partner submits the request. The partner organization fills in, through the dedicated portal, the beneficiary's details, pickup address, destination, date and time, plus any special needs.
2
Move Care confirms and assigns a driver. We receive the request, verify it and assign a driver from our fleet.
3
The beneficiary receives the details. The person being transported receives, by SMS or email, the driver's details and the estimated arrival time.
4
The driver marks the ride. At the start and end of the ride, the driver confirms via a personal link the moment of departure and arrival — this is how we correctly monitor the duration and smooth running of the ride.
5
Everyone receives confirmation. At the end, the partner organization and Move Care are notified that the ride is complete, and the beneficiary can leave feedback.

Who pays, and how much

The cost of a social ride is split fairly: 50% is covered by Move Care, from supporters' advance payments and from revenue, and 50% goes to the partner organization. The beneficiary pays nothing at the end of the ride.

Rates are transparent: within Cluj-Napoca we apply a fixed rate of 40 RON per ride. For neighboring localities, such as Florești, Baciu or Apahida, the rate is calculated automatically based on distance and is shown to the partner before confirmation.

Why this process matters

Every step exists for a reason: safety for the beneficiary, clarity for partners and transparency for everyone. We don't just transport people — we give them back access to healthcare, community and independence.
